Stopping OCM

This section provides step-by-step instructions on how to stop the Thin Client Browser deployment components, and includes steps for:

NOTE: The current alert state and the history of metrics are persisted in your OCM database and are restored and available upon restart.

Windows
 
  Standalone Version
In an initialized command window, change directory (cd) to the ocmon\projects\mysample directory.
   
  In the projects\mysample directory, stop the OC Monitor applications by typing:
    stop_rtv default  
   
  NOTE: The stop_rtv default command stops all the OC Monitor applications at once. To stop each OC Monitor application individually use the following:
    stop_rtv default dataserver Stops the Data Server.
    stop_rtv default historian Stops the Historian.
    stop_rtv default displayserver Stops the Display Server.
    If the database is running in a command window, close it by clicking in the command window to get focus, pressing CTRL-C until the application terminates and closing the command prompt window.
 
  Solution Package Version
In an initialized command window, change directory (cd) to the emsample\servers directory.
   
  In the emsample\servers directory, stop the OC Monitor applications by typing:
    stop_rtv ocmon  
   
  NOTE: The stop_rtv ocmon command stops all the OC Monitor applications at once. To stop each OC Monitor application individually use the following:
    stop_rtv ocmon dataserver Stops the Data Server.
    stop_rtv ocmon historian Stops the Historian.
    If the database is running in a command window, close it by clicking in the command window to get focus, pressing CTRL-C until the application terminates and closing the command prompt window.


UNIX/Linux
 
  Standalone Version
In an initialized command window, change directory (cd) to the ocmon/projects/mysample directory.
   
  In the projects/mysample directory, stop the OC Monitor applications by typing:
    stop_rtv.sh default  
   
  NOTE: The stop_rtv default command stops all the OC Monitor applications at once. To stop each OC Monitor application individually use the following:
    stop_rtv.sh default dataserver Stops the Data Server.
    stop_rtv.sh default historian Stops the Historian.
    stop_rtv.sh default displayserver Stops the Display Server.
