Oracle Coherence Monitor

User Guide

UNIX/LINUX Process Tags
To facilitate finding and stopping OC Monitor processes that typically run in the background on UNIX/Linux systems, a Java property is included in the command line with the following form:
  -Dproctag:<tagbase><process_type>

Where:
<tagbase> = A user definable string. The default is OCM.
Often set to the name of the cluster property file.

<process_type> = A string that specifies the process type (DataServer, DisplayServer, Historian, or hsqldb)
.

The property is used by OC Monitor shell scripts to find and identify OC Monitor processes through use of the UNIX/Linux commands such as ps, pgrep, etc.

Examples:
-Dproctag:NYPROD1DataServer
-Dproctag:NYPROD1DisplayServer
-Dproctag:NYPROD1Historian
-Dproctag:NYPROD1hsqldb

Where:
<tagbase> = NYPROD1
