Log File Management on UNIX/Linux Systems
Most UNIX/Linux systems provide a utility for managing the log files produced by RTView applications.

For example:

• Solaris – logadm
• Linux – logrotate
• Macintosh – daily script for OS version 10.5.1 and earlier, and newsyslog for OS version 10.5.1and later
  

Consult your system administrator for details.
