Installing Permanent Keys
A permanent key is provided by SL Corporation based on a PIN (Platform
Identification Number) for a single system, and an existing license agreement
with SL Corporation. Each system that runs RTView components needs a separate
unique key. Contact your SL Corporation sales representative for single system, multi-system
or site/enterprise licenses.
Windows
To obtain a system PIN, perform the following steps.
1. Double-click on the rtvoc_cmd.bat file in the OC Monitor installation directory to bring up a command prompt.
2. Execute run_gmsregister from the command prompt. The SL Product Registration dialog appears.

3. Send the PIN to SL Corporation as instructed
in the dialog to obtain a key.
Unix/Linux
1. Open a command prompt window and
initialize the OC Monitor environment.
Example:
cd /opt/rtvoc_55c1
. ./rtvoc_init_sh
2. If a GUI is available, execute
run_gmsregister. The SL Product Registration
dialog appears.

3. If a GUI is not available, execute run_gmsregister –nogui. The PIN is written to standard output.
4. Send the PIN to SL Corporation as instructed in the dialog to obtain a key.
Installing a Key
The key obtained from SL Corporation can be
installed using the registration program described in the previous section.
Enter the TSN and Key into the appropriate dialog fields, and click OK.
For UNIX/Linux systems without a GUI, enter the key manually. Using a text editor, create a text file in the rtview/lib directory named KEYS. Put the Key into the file and save it.
The Key allows the use of all RTView components on the local system.
