Enterprise RTView®
User Guide

Initializing a Command Window
Before running any Enterprise RTView application from a Windows Command Prompt or Unix terminal window, you must first initialize the window to set RTV_HOME and append RTV_HOME\bin to PATH.

On Windows
Either open an already initialized command prompt window from the Windows Start Menu or initialize a regular command prompt window.

From the Windows Start Menu:

Start-->Programs-->Enterprise RTView-->Enterprise RTView Command Prompt

From the Command Prompt Window:

open a Command Prompt window, go to your installation directory, and type rtv_init.

On UNIX

open a terminal window, go to your installation directory and type source rtv_init.

NOTE: You must type rtv_init or source rtv_init in each command window you open.

Alternatively, see Setup to set RTV_HOME and append RTV_HOME\bin to PATH globally.
